Transformation Intensive Retreat

Our next retreat begins in September 2026 and concludes at the end of April 2027.

The application process opens April 2026.

Transformation Intensive, like other adaptations of the Spiritual Exercises, is not for the faint of heart! It is a significant commitment of time and spiritual energy for participants and leaders alike. For that reason, the application process is designed to help you – and us – discern whether the time is right for you to journey through the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises with us.

Here is what to expect:

Daily prayer. You should plan on spending 45-60 minutes a day, six days a week engaged in various prayer exercises. You will receive a notebook with weekly guides to make it easy for you to structure these prayer periods. The “work” you do in prayer is by far the most important transformative part of this experience.

Group spiritual direction. You will be placed in a group with 3 other participants and 2 trained leaders. These small groups are called “listening groups” because their purpose is to create a prayerful, listening environment for you to process and deepen what is happening in your daily prayer. These groups will meet virtually every week with breaks for American Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Holy Week.

Weekly Instruction. Video introductions to the weekly themes and prayer practices are a critical part of the Transformation Intensive experience. You should plan on finding a quiet place to watch the videos and follow along with the guided prayer exercises.

Transformation Intensive Notebook. This notebook provides details instructions about the prayer exercises recommended for each week. It is a rich resource that you will treasure long after your Transformation Intensive experience concludes.

Cost. The cost for the course $900 US, divided into three payments of $300 US. This covers the cost of your Transformation Intensive Notebook, access to recorded content, and participation in a weekly listening group facilitated by trained leaders.
