Transformation Intensive at Church of the Resurrection

This year, we will meet in person on Tuesdays, 7pm-9pm, beginning September 8, 2026. Transformation Intensive has been offered at Church of the Resurrection since 2015.

Here is what to expect:

Daily prayer. You will commit to spend 45-60 minutes a day, six days a week engaged in various prayer exercises. You will receive a notebook with weekly guides to make it easy for you to structure these prayer periods. The “work” you do in prayer is by far the most important transformative part of this experience.

It is intense! Transformation Intensive, like other adaptations of the Spiritual Exercises, is not for the faint of heart! It is a significant commitment of time and spiritual energy for participants and leaders alike. For that reason, the application process is designed to help you – and us – discern whether the time is right for you to journey through the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises with us.

Group spiritual direction. You will be placed in a group with 3 other participants and 2 trained leaders. These small groups are called “listening groups” because their purpose is to create a prayerful, listening environment for you to process and deepen what is happening in your daily prayer.

Transformation Intensive Notebook. This notebook provides detailed instructions about the prayer exercises recommended for each week. It is a rich resource that you will treasure long after your Transformation Intensive experience concludes. You will receive your notebook at the start of the course.

Cost. The cost for the course is $300. It can be paid up front or divided into two payments of $150. You’ll receive a payment link upon confirmation of your acceptance.
